Wake & Surf Academy in Portugal

Timo Spirit Waken’Surf Academy was created as a tribute to Timo Kuppens, the grandson of a very close friend. Timo died suddenly at the age of 11 on December 17, 2017 from a very rare virus.

Timo was a lively child who practiced many water sports with us, including wakesurfing. He also enjoyed skiing, motocross and tennis. He finished second in his category at the European wakesurfing championship in talloires in September 2017.

The privileged moments spent with him remain etched in our memory, which is why our Academy bears the name of the hashtag #Ride4TIMO created to honor his memory.

Timo’s early departure reminded us that life is sometimes unfair but worth living.
